We arrived in Kristiansand in Norway and started driving up along the coast to Stavanger. It was absolutely pissing down with rain, but by the evening it had cleared up, and Stavanger was a very nice city.

Next day, we got on a car ferry and headed across to the Lysefjord (meaning "Light Fjord") area. Here are some shots Anthony from the car ferry:

Norway had, by far, the most impressive scenery of the entire trip.

These pictures are taken from the top of "Preikestolen" - Norwegian for "Pulpit's Rock". From the edge of the rock it was a 600m drop down to the fjord below. Some people are guessing that I used photoshop for this next picture - but I assure you no special effects were needed:

It's a long way down from the top:

Here is me looking extremely pleased with myself... although at the time I did not realise how close to the edge I was standing.

Here is me and Anthony celebrating our find:

Next, we went hiking from the town of Loftus. It was raining pretty much all day, so we ended up soaked, but again, it was beautiful. This time, the scenery was more like a Norsca advertisement. Lots of waterfalls, the scent of pine... Norsca!

From Loftus, we drove across the "HardanggerVidda" - or "Hardangger Plateau" - to Oslo. The colours were surreal - all of the vegetation was a dark red brown, the water was often a deep aqua blue, and the snow was white (well of course it was!):

Oslo was an absolutely wicked city - but I did not think to take my camera and take any pictures.

Next stop was Stockholm, which again I did not take any pictures of. Overall, compared to Norway, Sweden was quite a disappointment. We ended up back in Copenhagen, then I flew on to Munich for Oktoberfest.
